    “Education means an all-round drawing out of the best in child and man, body, mind and spirit. Gandhiji’s definition includes the physical intellectual and spiritual aspects of human personality” - Gandhiji
    Education has been derived form Latin works educere, educo etc., meaning ‘to train’, ‘to instruct’, ‘to put’, ‘to draw out’, ‘to bring up’ , ‘to raise’. Thus education is an actor process of acquiring and imparting knowledge, skills and attitudes.
    We are in the 21st century, which is reaping the benefits of the scientific and technological advancements of the late 20th century. We are witnessing the revolutionary break through in the field of space science and nuclear energy, marvels of the chip technology and breakthrough programmes of the computer technology, information technology and multimedia communications. To meet the challenges of the present day information and population explosion we need to have intellectually trained human resources. This requires a human resource development programme which involves a process of giving relevant knowledge, imparting essential skills, igniting innate capacities and generating desirable attitudes and values through ‘holistic education’. This type of education will train the right manner.
    Education today is associated with 7R’s- i.e., Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and Rights, Responsibilities, Relationships and Recreation.

    All are living in a global information society, with a global economy that is increasingly dependent on the creation, management and distribution of Information communication resources. So, Information communication is basic resources in today’s society. Information communication Technology can facilitate not only delivery of instructions, but also Teaching, Learning processes itself. Modern development of innovative technologies has provided new possibilities to each professions but at the same time have placed more demands on teachers, students o use these new technologies in their teaching, learning process. ICT may ways for lifelong professional development for today’s Teachers, Students.
